K-Ball — Play the Future
A high-intensity team sport fusing the strategy of soccer and rugby with the fast pace of handball. Fast. Strategic. Relentless.
What is K-Ball?
Played on a 60x30-meter field, teams of eight compete to score goals by either throwing (1 point) or kicking (2 points). With both contact and touch variations, it enforces rhythm, spacing, and teamwork while keeping action continuous.
Fast & Relentless
Every play is designed for movement. Short restarts, quick transitions, and constant decision-making keep the game flowing.
Built for All Levels
With both contact and touch variations, K-Ball is accessible to youth, recreational athletes, and competitive players alike.
Athletic & Tactical
Rewards speed, coordination, and communication as much as strength. It's not just physical but mentally challenging too.
How the Game Works
K-Ball's innovation lies in its hybrid play mechanics. Tackles or touches reset possession, ensuring a dynamic and fast-paced game.
The Field
Played on a 60x30 yard field with semi-circle line markings to indicate the throw line or the kick line.
The Teams
8 players per team work together, ensuring constant involvement and movement.
The Mechanics
Tackles (or touches in the touch variation) reset possession to keep the rhythm going.
Scoring
Throw into the goal box for 1 point, or kick it in for 2 points. Dynamic scoring!

Origin Story
Henry Medary
Back in 2011, while completing my master’s in entrepreneurship in New Zealand, I started tinkering with a big idea—one that blended my love for sports with a drive to think outside the box.
I looked at the games I loved—Rugby, Soccer, and American Football—and saw both brilliance and flaws:
- 🏉 Rugby flows beautifully but can feel bogged down by set plays and rigid breakdown rules.
- ⚽ Soccer is skillful and fast, but often lacks the scoring intensity and physicality some players crave.
- 🏈 American Football is full of tactical depth but can lose momentum with constant stoppages.
I thought: What if we could keep the excitement, the tactics, the skill—and drop the boring bits? So I started developing something new.
